Ready to fly
Reizberg electric wheelchairs are designed for air travel. Their lithium-ion batteries are removable, feature a protective cover for the contacts and operate within the 300 Wh per battery limit set by IATA regulations for mobility aids.
The carbon frame folds down to a compact size for transport in the hold, and each removed battery is carried in the cabin as hand luggage, in accordance with standard airline procedures.
Reizberg provides an airline certificate specific to each model, containing all the technical information required by the airline: battery type, capacity in watt-hours, weight, dimensions and contact protection system. Available for direct download from this website.
We recommend that you notify the airline at least 48 hours in advance and check its specific requirements before each flight.
